American Express "An Evening With Vanity Fair" Event Series
Exclusively for American Express Cardmembers, Vanity Fair hosted a series of special events.
On September 16, American Express Cardmembers gathered at the V.F. Café @ Nespresso on Madison Avenue for an exclusive cocktail reception with Vanity Fair Editor of Creative Development David Friend. The night celebrated the new book Vanity Fair: The Portraits, A Century of Iconic Images, which Friend developed with editor Graydon Carter. Speaking to a full house, Friend discussed the magazine's rich, award-winning photography that has reflected the cultural history of the 20th century.

On September 22, American Express Cardmembers gathered for a private tour of the esteemed W. Graham Arader III Gallery of New York. Director and gallery partner Alison Petretti personally led guests through the historic townhouse located at 1016 Madison Avenue, allowing them to view the gallery’s fine selection of antique natural history engravings and watercolors, maps and atlases, rare books, and American and European paintings.

Dee Dee Myers
On September 24, American Express Cardmembers assembled in the wood-paneled Brandy Library in Manhattan for an evening of lively conversation about the current political climate and the upcoming presidential election. Vanity Fair contributing editor and best-selling author Christopher Hitchens and Vanity Fair contributing editor and former White House press secretary Dee Dee Myers commented and critiqued the two presidential candidates, rousing a lively debate with guests.
